A platform for Africa–Europe dialogue
Africa–Europe Synergy is a structured dialogue platform dedicated to the Africa–Europe partnership, designed to embed exchanges over time and move beyond ad hoc or strictly sector-based approaches. Through closed-door meeting formats, the platform brings together key actors to deepen understanding of respective priorities, constraints and interests, and to foster the emergence of durable convergences around shared economic, institutional and strategic issues. Africa–Europe Synergy reflects European Strategic Initiative’s conviction that the Africa–Europe relationship constitutes a structuring axis of Europe’s future strategic balance, calling for continuous, demanding and trust-based dialogue frameworks.

A framework for thematic strategic dialogues
Strategic Dialogues refers to a flexible and transversal framework designed to address, depending on context, sensitive European issues such as defence, migration, security or strategic resources. These dialogues take various forms—targeted exchanges, ad hoc formats and restricted meetings—and are conducted within controlled frameworks tailored to the nature of the issues and the actors involved. They aim to clarify positions, bring perspectives closer together and support the progressive alignment of actors. Through Strategic Dialogues, European Strategic Initiative maintains an agile capacity to engage on issues requiring discretion and a high degree of strategic sensitivity.
